Why a holiday in Kiama is the perfect getaway
Kiama is less than two hours by freeway from central Sydney and an easy 200 km from the nation’s capital, Canberra.
You can take the Grand Pacific Drive for a gloriously scenic coastal trip through the national park and along the rugged coastline.
A modern rail link runs hourly from Central Station and delivers you right to the centre of Kiama.
When you stay in one of our Kiama holiday homes, you’ll find the weather is mild, with warm summers and cooling sea breezes and mild winters with blue skies – all without extremes.
Kiama has a beautiful, working harbour right in the middle of the village where you take a fishing charter or buy fresh fish from the locals, swim in one of Kiama’s two famous ocean pools, or just walk on the foreshore promenade before settling down for an excellent coffee at one of the nearby cafes.
Kiama is ideal for corporate events, weddings and family gatherings, and there is so much to do and see here. The rugged coast is a photographer’s delight and our beautiful sandy beaches are perfect for families.
Sightseeing starts with the world’s largest blowhole at the foot of the famous Kiama lighthouse, or you can take a tree-top walk in the nearby pristine rainforests.
